A STRONG HISTORY

Established in 1980 under
special charter by the Mayor of Los Angeles, the
Westchester Vitalization Corporation (WVC), a Public
Benefit Corporation, has served as a stable sounding board
for issues of economic importance to Westchester's greater
business, residential and civic community.

A DYNAMIC GOAL
|
|
The mission of Westchester
Vitalization Corporation is the furtherance of economic
development in the greater Westchester and Playa del Rey
area by acting as a liaison between local developers,
community interest groups and regulatory bodies.

with an impressive 25 year history of working for
responsible development and combating negative community
impacts.

WESTCHESTER FARMERS MARKET
|
|
Established by WVC in 1993,
income from the Westchester Farmers Market has enabled WVC
to provide mentoring and seed monies for a number of
organizations, community service groups, and projects such
as Neighborhood Council of Westchester/Playa del Rey, the
Westchester Streetscape Improvement Association,
Westchester Park, The Veterans Memorial monument,
Nielsen Youth Park, Westchester on Parade, the
Westchester /Playa del Rey Historical Society and numerous
other community events and projects.

AN INVITATION TO JOIN

There is no better way to
become a leader in Westchester's future than by attending
Westchester Vitalization Corporation (WVC) meeting and/or
volunteering to serve as an Associate Director on our
Board.
To learn about WVC and your community, attend one of our
monthly Board meetings. All WVC meetings are open to the
public and help at 6:00PM on the 2nd Monday of each month
in the Community Room of the Westchester Municipal
Building located at: 7166 W. Manchester Avenue,
Westchester, CA 90045.
Membership dues area just $15.00 per year. To become
a member of the Westchester Vitalization Corporation and
begin receiving monthly meeting agendas, simply send us
your name, address, day phone number, and e-mail address
...plus a check for $15.00.
